Terms of Service
Parents/guardians are advised to read the information below before signing their child up to our classes.
Performing Arts Classes
Please arrive on time each week when dropping off and collecting your child.
Please be aware that Breakout is not responsible for your child outside of class time. Please stay with your child until the class begins.
No jewellery or valuables are to be brought to class – any damage, loss or theft is not Breakout’s responsibility.
Parents or guardians are not allowed to watch the classes.
Parents or guardians are required to inform Breakout of any known medical conditions or existing injuries and update Breakout immediately if any of these details change.
Students in our Senior Class (schools years 7+) are not dismissed to a parent at the end of the classes, all other classes are.
A First Aider will always be present and will administer First Aid should your child need it. In an emergency, 999 will be contacted for medical assessment/treatment. Should your child need escorting to hospital by ambulance, a member of our team will do so. If you are against this, you MUST inform us before signing your child up to the school.
Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn for the classes; preferably all black with the Breakout t-shirt. Once a child has committed to the school, the school uniform must be adhered to.
All school clothing and merchandise are to be paid for in full before ordering or collecting. No refunds will be given if you order incorrectly.
We reserve the right to exclude children whose behaviour is disruptive. Under no circumstances will any form of harassment or bullying, to any child or member of staff at the school, be tolerated.
We may photograph or film Breakout students (and occasionally their family members) in our shows or classes. Any photos or videos we take/make will only ever be used: to advertise Breakout, to create products (show DVDs, show photos etc.) that parents/guardians can purchase, or in Breakout events/shows. In signing up to our classes, you agree for this to happen.
Family and friends are often allowed to take pictures or film the content in our shows/performances/presentations – as long as the material they film is only for personal use – but in certain instances we will ask parents not to film/photograph their child’s performance. This is so that we stay within the law in regards to the licences granted to us by licensing agencies and/or the owners of the music and other material we use.
The Co-Principals will notify all parents via the WhatsApp class groups if classes have to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. adverse weather). No refunds can be offered to those who cannot attend any rescheduled classes.
All payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Refunds will only be issued if, due to unforeseen circumstances, the classes are cancelled and not rearranged. Refunds will not be given for absences or if a child leaves the school mid-term. Fees for a class a child has missed (or will miss) cannot be used for a future class instead.
If a student’s fees are outstanding, that student will not be allowed to attend classes or participate in any shows.
Sibling Discounts will be offered to families signing up two or more children to the school. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. This discount does not apply to our Private Tuition.
Payment is required through our subscription service which is automatically paid monthly on the date you subscribed.
Subscriptions continue until you cancel by giving us 30 days’ written notice.
Private Tuition
Pupils are required to purchase and bring with them any teaching materials needed for the lessons. Exam fees are not included in the lesson price.
If a pupil arrives late, the lesson-time missed will not be added on at the end.
Lesson fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Refunds will not be given for absences and/or if a child stops the lessons whilst being in credit. Payment for a lesson a child has missed (or will miss) cannot be used for a future lesson instead.
If you cannot attend the lesson for any reason (e.g. adverse weather) then you can have a lesson online instead. No refunds will be given should you not want to have a lesson online.
After the Two Week Trial, lesson fees are paid for on a monthly basis. Lessons fees are due by standing order on 25th of each month or by childcare vouchers / government gateway on the last lesson of each month (to pay for lessons taking place the following month).
If lesson fees are not paid, the pupil’s time-slot will not be reserved until payment has been received. In some cases, this may result in the loss of the pupil’s preferred time-slot.
In unforeseen circumstances, David and Rachel may cover each other’s lessons.
